The Family Behind Pipcorn!

The idea was born in 2011, when Jen's brother, Jeff was helping her move apartments, with everything packed and nothing to eat, they found a bag of mini heirloom popcorn kernels in the back of a cabinet and popped them up! After eating batch after batch, Jeff and Jen knew they needed to share it with the world - the heirloom popcorn kernels had a crazy amount of flavor and crunch for such mini little kernels (and almost no hull!). Jeff, Jen and Teresa (Jeff's wife) launched Pipcorn in 2012 with their small savings and big dreams to use heirloom corn to reinvent their favorite childhood snacks that satisfy your cravings without making you feel like crap.
Since launching our mini popcorn in hand-stamped paper bags at a Brooklyn farmers’ market, we've gotten a lot of help from family and friends, including new friends like Oprah and Barbara Corcoran from Shark Tank!
Making the best tasting delicious mini heirloom popcorn was just the start as our heirloom corn varieties are as unique as the family farmers who have been growing them for generations, each one slightly different in appearance and flavor, all of them special and naturally delicious so we started using heirloom corn to make other kinds of snacks (hello, cheese balls and dippable corn chips!), we knew we had to stay true to the value of the heirloom corn that started this family journey. That meant keeping our ingredients pure and simple—like real, Non-GMO ingredients and no artificial anything.
We’re so proud of what we’ve created and we hope you love them as much as we do!
